On the night of Monday, October 26th, 2020 the Roosevelt Fire Department and Nassau County Police Emergency Services Unit operated on the scene of a motor vehicle accident with entrapment at the intersection of Nassau Road and Babylon Turnpike. There was a total of three vehicles involved in the collision [one of them was parked and unoccupied at the time] and one person was required extrication. Multiple people were transported from the scene to area hospitals; however, none of the injuries were life threatening. An investigation into the accident is being conducted. All fire department units were under the command of Roosevelt Chief of Department Chris Wint .
