Club Lane [8-16-19]

On the night of Friday, August 16th, 2019 the Wantagh Fire Department was called to a house fire on Club Lane off Gardiners Avenue. When firefighters arrived on scene, they were met with a confirmed smoke condition leading to the transmission of a signal ninety-eight [smoke showing]. This report was followed by a signal ten [working fire] after firefighters confirmed fire on the first floor of a two-story Levitt style house. Levittown was designated the FAST and responded to the scene with Ladder 626. Two hand lines were stretched with one line put into operation off Wantagh Engine 692. The fire was quickly knocked down and the cause is under investigation. Standing by for Wantagh during the operation was a ladder and engine from Bethpage. All fire department units were under the command of Wantagh Chief of Department Joe Gross III [6900].
