Voshage Street [6-19-20]

On the night of Friday, June 19th, 2020 the Baldwin Fire Department operated on the scene of a signal ten [working fire] on Voshage Street off Pilgrim Avenue. The fire was in a detached garage behind a two-story private dwelling. Hempstead was designated the FAST and responded to the scene with Ladder 2. Baldwin Hose 3 was the first engine company to arrive on scene. Three hand lines stretched with at least two of those lines put into operation. Extension to the residence was contained to the exterior of the home. The scene was placed under control within thirty minutes and the cause of the fire is under investigation. Among the other departments called for mutual aid was Freeport and South Hempstead. All fire department units were under the command of Baldwin Second Deputy Chief Cummings [2052].
