Park Avenue [5-15-18]

The Roosevelt Fire Department was dispatched to a report of a house fire on Park Avenue off Valentine Avenue minutes before five a.m. on the morning of Tuesday, May 5th, 2018. When firefighters arrived on scene they were met with fire showing from the second floor of a two-story private dwelling leading to the transmission of a signal ten [working fire]. Roosevelt Engine 733 was the first engine to arrive on scene and went on to put two hand lines into operation. North Merrick was designated the FAST for the operation and responded to the scene with Ladder 673. Also, on scene were Hempstead Truck One and Uniondale Engine 7522. Firefighters made a quick knockdown of the fire. The cause of the fire is under investigation and all fire department units were under the command of Roosevelt Chief of Department Fennell [7300].
